Hello, and welcome to The Seasoned Year.
This online space is intended as an invitation to stand back, slow down and pay attention to where we are in time and space.
An anchor in the storm.
A pause in the relentless do, do, do of our modern lives.
A breath, with which to sink back and feel the ground beneath you.
To root you in the moment you’re in and cultivate an appreciation for the wonder of this season, this moment, this earth you’re walking on.
Whether you’re where you want to be or not, whatever your dreams and big visions and schedule has in store for you, right here and right now is the greatest gift you have.
My hope is to inspire you to sink into and savour it, and here’s how:
1. I share Letters from the Land every full and new moon: short, personal essays sharing the changes in the season and helping you to connect to the land where you live.
When you sign up, you’ll get a free copy of From Water to Air: 5 reflections on the elements of the seasons. They’re five short meditations on the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, Water and Metal, with creative prompts to spark your own imagination. Click here to get your copy!
2. Have a read of the blog over this way – as well as snippets of the seasons from the farm, I share tips on topics like how to connect to the seasons even if you’re in the city, and how to make the most of seasonal energy.
3.Find out a little more about me here, including why I started The Seasoned Year and where I’m writing to you from.
To the left you can find links to follow along on social media – including daily snapshots from the hills on Instagram.
And if you’d like to get in touch with questions, suggestions or invitations for guest posts or storytelling opportunities, drop me a line to firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll respond as soon as I can.
Thanks for stopping by!
